speed up ur utorrent downloading

Locate your IP address.
Double click the internet connection icon in the clock tray, choose the support tab, the IP Address is there. Enter it in uTorrent options> preferences> bittorrent, goes in as IP/hostname

You need a port number to forward (listening port). Choose one in the range of 45000 to 65000 (eg. 55999) enter it in uTorrent, options> preferences> connection.

If you have a firewall, then the port number must have a firewall exception.
If it is listed here, then follow the instructions.
www.firewalling.com/routers.htm

To forward a port in your modem/router, follow these instructions.
Locate your modem/router in the list, it will give you a list of applications, select utorrent and follow the instructions.

To optimize your connection use TCP Optimizer.
